Nuria Teruel (Valencia, 1961)

After time spent combining her professional career as an engineer with her artistic
projects, Nuria abandoned engineering to concentrate solely on art, starting in
Pamplona and continuing in Murcia as part of the Crónicos collective together
with Gaspar Escudero. Subsequently she moved to Albacete, forming the El Alcabor
group with Fernando Segura, Julián Garcia and Sergio Martinez.

Throughout this period she experimented with various materials, basically mixed media,
but finally selects watercolour as her preferred medium in 2003. A year later she settles
in Minorca and begins her collaboration with ENCANT in 2006. In Minorca her work has
also been shown in the S’Hostal (Lithica) stone quarries. On the mainland she has participated
in several editions of the Feria de Albacete, and her oeuvre has been exhibited in many galleries,
such as the Hutsarte in Pamplona, the IBGaleria in Alicante and at Opera Omnia in Asturias,
among others.
